In a quest to fuse edgy, provocative and stylish clothing with superior athletic wear, Michelle Watson created MICHI. Michelle’s vision has always been to combine her love of high fashion with sport and dance to create stylish yet utilitarian sportswear with performance features.

Before launching MICHI, Michelle Watson designed for some of the world’s most reputable brands such as Donna Karan, Kate Spade and most recently, the luxury high performance athletic line, RLX Ralph Lauren. Michelle holds a degree in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City, as well as an Honors Business Degree from The University of Western Ontario.

A Calgarian by birth, but a world traveler by heart, Michelle Watson has always had a close relationship with design and sport, and has been able to cultivate her skills on an international stage. Whether it was competitive golf, ski racing, martial arts, flamenco or dancehall, Michelle has never passed on an opportunity to challenge her body, mind or competition; all while being impeccably dressed.

MICHI was founded in New York in 2010; the design and manufacturing centre is now based in Toronto, Canada.
